Gita Octavia Sari, S.H., earned her Bachelor of Law degree from Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta. Throughout her academic journey, she consistently demonstrated outstanding performance and achieved several notable accomplishments, including securing 4th place in the Legal Opinion Business Law Competition at Pelita Harapan University, earning the Best Presentation award on the topic of Gender in the Indonesian Future Leaders Conference (IFLC) in Makassar, and becoming a national finalist in the National Sharia Economics Championship organized by the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada.

Professional Background

Her academic achievements were balanced with strong organizational leadership, particularly through her role as the Executive Director of the Business Law Society (BLS) at the Faculty of Law, Sebelas Maret University—one of Indonesia’s prominent business law organizations with a nationwide academic network. In this role, Gita played an essential part in shaping the organization’s strategic direction, coordinating its members, and strengthening collaborations with various national legal institutions to advance the understanding and implementation of business law in Indonesia.

Prior to joining Margono–Ismawan & Co, Gita gained professional experience at a law firm and a Legal Aid Organization (OBH) accredited by the National Law Development Agency (BPHN), providing her with strong exposure to legal advocacy across Central Java. She also served as a Legal Staff at a leading private general hospital in Kuningan, South Jakarta. Gita possesses strategic experience in constitutional litigation through her direct involvement in assisting clients with the preparation and submission of judicial review case files before the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia. In addition, she has worked with clients to ensure compliance with labor laws, particularly in the registration of Company Regulations (PP) and/or Collective Labor Agreements (CLA).

Gita has a strong professional interest in Intellectual Property Law, which led her to secure internship opportunities at Tilleke & Gibbins Law Firm and at the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DGIP), Ministry of Law and Human Rights, during her studies. Along her professional journey, she has also developed competencies in Business Law, Telecommunication, Media and Internet Law, Corporate Law, and Health Law.

  1. Involved in assisting advocates in preparing and managing various legal documents required for case handling, including but not limited to powers of attorney, statements, court summonses, and other legal administrative documents related to the case process.
  2. Involved in assisting clients at every stage of the legal process, including pre-trial proceedings, court litigation, and dispute resolution through non-litigation channels such as mediation and negotiation, to support the achievement of the client’s legal interests.
  3. Actively involved in establishing and maintaining communication with prospective and current clients, including establishing an initial understanding of the legal issues faced by clients and helping identify and develop alternative legal solutions that meet the client’s needs.
  4. Involved in managing and administering the client’s company logo and/or brand registration with the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, including preparing supporting documents, submitting applications, and monitoring the administrative process to the specified stages.
  5. Involved in supporting corporate legal activities at companies and law firms in providing legal services to clients, particularly in the area of ​​corporate law. This involvement includes active participation in the drafting, reviewing, and finalizing various cooperation agreements between clients and business partners, such as insurance companies, banks, hospitals, clinics, and other corporate partners. The scope of cooperation includes operational services, referrals, medical check-ups, banking cooperation, insurance channeling, sales and purchase agreements, and other operational cooperation.
  6. Supporting clients in the drafting, reviewing, and adjusting several cooperation agreements with various parties, including insurance partners, healthcare facilities, financial institutions, and related agencies. During this process, she ensures that the arrangements for the parties’ rights and obligations, payment mechanisms, responsibilities, legal risk mitigation, and dispute resolution provisions align with the client’s operational needs and applicable laws and regulations.
  7. Involved in the drafting and reviewing of employment documents for clients, including employment agreements, collective bargaining agreements, and internal employment policies and procedures. This involvement includes adjusting disciplinary and sanction provisions, warning mechanisms, and harmonizing the client’s internal policies based on internal discussions and applicable regulatory developments.
